Abstract

Jiménez Moreno became a legend in the voice of his former students for the way he taught his courses on the history of Mexico. Certainly, he is a remarkable figure in the history of Mexican anthropology, very singular, for his personal style of approaching Mesoamerican antiquity and for the depth and breadth of his research. In this field he stood out, although he also had knowledge of the New Spain and Mexican times in the 19th and 20th centuries.
