Book Review as author Javier Garciadiego, entitled "Tests of socio-political history of the Mexican Revolution," published in 2011. In the words of historian Pablo Yankelevich, "Garciadiego, in compiling this volume of his work scattered in endless books and magazines, reveals the breadth of issues that studies and originality of their research strategies. Seen as a whole, the essays are meant as a renewed effort to examine the complexity of Mexican history in the late nine hundred . Settles scores that way contradicts myths, warns on ways and fashions that have dealt with characters, circumstances and events of the Revolution. Facing national history paintings painted solely in black and white, this book is a reminder of the dangers of mixing the passions of the past with the present factions. Pages of this book, a notorious border separates old and new songs in the history and historiography of the Mexican Revolution. For good measure, some of the essays are a good example of the inherent tentativeness of historical knowledge. "
