Abstract
This article presents an interview with the prominent photographer Marco Antonio Cruz, considered one of the most important lens professionals in recent history in our country, done ten years ago. In this valuable document, the photographer explains his beginnings in the field of photography and his first forays into a left-wing photojournalism that formulated a critique of power and gave visibility in the space of public opinion to the struggle of various social movements for the seventies and beginning of the eighties of the las century. All this in the context of the great transformations of the political system that led to the democratic alternation in the year 2000.
