Abstract
This article reflects on the conception of menstruation in a group of mixes women from their migration to the State of Mexico. For the analysis, the no- tion of body, worldview and gender constructions are taken into account. It starts from understanding the trajectories linked to migration, the reasons that led them to leave their community of origin to understand their experi- ences. As well as glimpsing the information that they have obtained from the school and medical perspectives mainly. The research stems from the work carried out during the master’s degree, where the reproductive cycle of these women was investigated in an exploratory manner. The data on menstruation are limited, however, they provide clues about the way in which the catego- ries of being a man and being a woman are constructed within an indigenous context.
